NYC Roosevelt Island Tramway and Grand Central Terminal

The Roosevelt Island Tramway is used by locals and tourists as a convenient way to cross the East River and get to Roosevelt Island. Opened in 1976, this aerial tramway has carried over 26 million passengers. It is seamlessly connected to the NYC Subway system fare card. During peak hours, both trams are used, but on off-peak hours (such as in this video) only one tram is used.
