US’ preconditions on Gaza ceasefire ’a green light to continued killing’: China envoy to UN

Chinese Ambassador to the United Nations, Zhang Jun, criticized the US draft for imposing conditions on the ceasefire, which could lead to continued killings which is unacceptable. In the latest session of the United Nations Security Council, China, Russia, and Algeria opposed a US-backed proposal. It marks the fourth unsuccessful attempt to secure a ceasefire in the council. Algeria's resolution in February received considerable support, with 13 votes in favor and one abstention from Britain. However, it failed to pass as the US UN representative vetoed three prior resolutions in October, December, and February. __________________ ShanghaiEye focuses on producing top-quality contents.
