Residents refuse to leave despite Israeli attacks in southern Lebanese village

“We have decided to stay despite everything.” While a large number of Lebanese are fleeing their homes in the south of the country due to Israeli attacks, in the Christian village of Qlayaa, four kilometres from the border, 550 of the 900 families are still there, despite shortages of petrol and medicines and the forced closure of the nearest hospital. The Lebanese Health Ministry said Thursday that the death toll from Israeli attacks has reached 2,169, with 10,212 injured since 8 October 2023.
