Bernard Cache - Towards a Contemporary Ornamentation

Lecture date: 1998-02-02 Somewhere between the semperian knot and the riegelian rinceau is the subtitle to Bernard Caches lecture. Cache and Objectile - a collaborative architecture and design workshop - pay special attention to building components as contemporary ornaments. Objectile takes its name from Gilles Deleuzes term for a series of non-standard objects - a singular variation on the same morphological theme. As a philosopher and architectural theoretician he has written Earth Moves and Terre Meuble in close collaboration with Deleuze. NB: Cuts out during Q & A.
