Kosmosphär is a Berlin School “fictional“ electronic music project founded in West Germany in the mid-1970s. The band's founders were two young musicians who were part of the kosmische musik movement of the time and were inspired by pioneers such as Tangerine Dream and Klaus Schulze: Erik Hostmann and Jürgen Kuchs. These two musicians came together with a passion for creating cosmic sounds that opened up to infinity with analog synthesizers. In its early days, Kosmosphär attracted attention with minimalist structures, repetitive sequencers and long compositions that explored the unknown of space. - Musical Style: Kosmosphär bears the typical characteristics of the Berlin School: Slow tempos, deep drones, expansive synth pads and repetitive arpeggios draw the listener into a hypnotic atmosphere.
