Basic-24: Hands-on training: EnMAP-Box Spectral Library

There are several software options that allow for visualization and analyses of hyperspectral data. One of these options is the EnMAP-Box, a free and open source python plugin for QGIS, specifically designed to process and visualise imaging spectroscopy data such as that from the upcoming EnMAP mission, but also any other optical remote sensing data. The EnMAP-Box has been developed in the frame of the EnMAP preparatory science program to allow advanced processing of high dimensional spectral remote sensing data and enhanced visualization and exploration of multi-band remote sensing data and spectral libraries in a GIS environment. The plug-in consists of a graphical user interface for data visualization and spectral library management, a set of advanced general and application-oriented algorithms, and a high-level application programming interface (EnMAP API). The EnMAP-Box can be started from QGIS or stand-alone and is registered in the QGIS plug-in repository. This video explains different options for working with spectral libraries. Please check out our other screencasts on the installation of the EnMAP-Box software and the different visualization tools. For detailed and up-to-date information on the EnMAP-Box please visit the documentation website, where you can also find a user manual as well as several application tutorials. **** FREE ONLINE COURSE **** ‘Beyond the Visible – Introduction to Hyperspectral Remote Sensing‘ is the first Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on Hyperspectral Remote Sensing presented by HYPERedu and EO-College OPEN FROM 24 NOVEMBER 2021, 08:00 am GMT Register now: The course teaches the principles of imaging spectroscopy, sensor technologies and data acquisition techniques, hyperspectral data processing approaches and data sources and provides expert-guided hands-on training. The course was developed by GFZ Potsdam as part of the HYPERedu initiative with support from experts at various partner institutions. The development was funded within the EnMAP science program under the German Space Agency at DLR with resources from the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy. **** For FURTHER INFORMATION we recommend **** • General information on the EnMAP-Box, a free-and-open source python plugin for QGIS: • Download, documentation and tutorials of and with the EnMAP-Box:
