[LynesVA] How to do a killer Lich King voice (World of Warcraft)

🎯 Загружено автоматически через бота: 🛑 Оригинал: 📺 LynesVA — 📃 Оригинальное описание: Link to where I learned the ’reverse - reverb - reverse’ tutorial - Hello everyone. In this video I will teach you how to do the Lich King/ Arthas voice from Warcraft 3 and World of Warcraft. For the actual voice itself, you are going to want to ’growl’ the voice out. Making the vocie sound angry and somewhat deep in the process. Then you want to add some breath leading up tot he first word of every sentence and throughout the sentence. This gives it that ’ghostly’ sound effect before you even edit it in Audacity. Now open audacity and apply what I call the ’standard VO chain’ FOR MY STANDARD EFFECTS I APPLY TO EVERY RECORDING \/ This what I refer to as my ’VO chain’ because I practically always use these specific effects in audacity to just make your voice sound a little bit better. It is not necessary, but it will improve the quality alot. This is all done in Audacity, so no other program is needed. First what you will want to do is select a small portion of the audio file that has no speaking or mouth noises (so the quietest part of the recording) and then go to Effects (All of the following things will be under effects) and then go to noise reduction and select Get Noise Profile (This basically helps the program determine what background noise your audio has). Then once you have done that, select the entire audio file and go back to Noise Reduction, set the dB to about 18 and apply it to the file. This should dramatically reduce your background noise. Second, you will want to select the whole file again and go to Equalization (this is basically where you control the Bass and Treble for the different frequencies of the audio) and you will want to go to the Select Curve drop down, and select Bass Boost (I would drop the Bass boost to about 6dB or lower if it turns out too bassy) and select apply. Then do the same with the Treble Boost in Equalization and apply that to the whole audio file again. Next, you will want to select the entire audio recording and go to Compressor. This reduces the dynamic range of the voice in the recording and is useful for making your voice sound a bit warmer, louder, and ’fuller’. Set the Threshhold to -14dB, Noise floor to -40dB, Ratio to 2:1, Attack Time sec, and Release time to 1.0 seconds and apply that. This is designed specifically for my recording, but it should work for most people’s audio. Finally you will want to select the whole audio recording again, then go to Normalize. This will, for practical purposes, ensure that your audio does not go over a certain volume/ peak amplitude. You will just want to tick the Remove DC Offset box, tick the Normalize Peak amplitude box and set it to (This will make sure the amplitude does not go over that number) and apply that. ________________________________ For the LICH KING effects specifically. 1- Copy the voice lines into three seperate tracks and adjust pitch as necessary. 2- Apply an echo to every track with a delay of 0,4 and a decay of 0,05. 3- On the second track specifically, adjust the pitch down a few decibels and then apply a reverb of: 100% Room Size, 100ms pre-delay, 65~ reverberence, 100% damping, 100% tone low, 100% tone high, -1db wet gain, 3db dry gain, and 100% stereo width. Adjust the gain and pan this track to either side. 4- Reverse the THIRD track and apply the same reverb as previously and then reverse the track again to where it was positioned originally. Now adjust the gain and pan to the opposite side of the 1st track. 5- There you have it, you should have a good lich king voice. _______________ Thanks for watching! #WorldofWarcraft #Shadowlands #WrathoftheLichKing
