23. We Will Rock You (Queen-Live In Hanover: 9/22/1984)

After some requests, Gregsynthbootlegs was finally overwhelmed, and decided to upload the (in)famous Hanover concert from the 1984 leg of The Works Tour. Even after a remaster (Pitch/tempo correction, and some EQing), the quality is still absolutely AWFUL! There's no bass on the recording, and if you can decipher Freddie's vocals (which are in decent shape here), and the notes that the 4 musicians create, I'll give you guys a pat on the back! At least the gig is complete (I'm always optimistic)! Note: The picture background for this concert demonstrates why “Hammer To Fall“ is an appropriate title: At the end of the song, Freddie took a nasty fall and injured his right knee. Ever the fighter and champion, the late, great Freddie Mercury was helped to the piano and CONTINUED the concert (gotta admire him for that ALONE)! The gig was shortened slightly by cutting out Crazy Little Thing Called Love, I Want To Break Free, and Jailhouse Rock. After the concert, Freddie's leg was bandaged up, and the tour continued! Note 2: Do you think that this incident inspired “The Show Must Go On“ in anyway? Just a thought...
