Shoigu inspects new anti-drone guns as arms production increases

Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu was shown one of Russia’s new anti-drone guns as he announced an increase in weapons production. Shoigu, along with chief of the Russian Armed Forces, Valery Gerasimov, got the chance to inspect some of the latest advances in Russian weaponry designed to counter the threat of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This included a rather large, precision-sighted anti-drone gun and a smaller UAV able of firing munitions in multiple directions at the same time. ‘It is necessary to increase the volume and quality of weapons and military equipment supplied to the troops,’ Shoigu said during a meeting with military officials, adding that ‘state contracts with industrial enterprises have been concluded.’
