During a gusty point in the day I personally witnessed speeds of 550 mph! The final call was 548 mph as posted by the man himself Spencer Lisenby. Believe me or not I have never heard of dynamic soaring until this very day. What you see in this video is my point of view. Early in the morning a live stream came across my fyp on youtube. As soon as the boots on the ground reported the speeds during this mornings stream, our host RC video Reviews confirmed. I watched the live stream in sheer disbelief. Compelled to seek the truth I hucked my crown victoria up a mountain side! .... 2.5 hours later I arrived in Acton California USA. As the stream ended I started to cover this amazing hobby called Dynamic Soaring. * my videos are geared for the use of headphones. Max volumes have been adjusted in order to convey the sounds of these marvelous RC Airplanes. The wind was strong during recording! If i get an invite, next time I will bring some better audio equipment. On this particular day I dropped everything and drove up a mountain completely unprepared. Similar to hearing large helicopter blades while the helicopter is hauling arse. I still am humbled by this experience! You have to go and feel the rumble of the sound barrier cracking your chest!
