Intersex: Invisible No More! A Film Screening And Talk

From the organizer: Join us for Intersex: Invisible No More, a powerful event kicking off Pride Week with a screening of Common As Red Hair, an award-winning short film highlighting the experiences of intersex children, their families, and the controversial “corrective surgeries“ aimed at normalizing physical sex characteristics. Written and directed by Robbie Robertson, the film offers an intimate look at the personal and systemic challenges faced by intersex individuals and their families. After the screening, we’ll have a talk-back session with Kimberly Zieselman, the film’s Executive Producer and a renowned international intersex advocate from Vermont. Kimberly will share insights from her advocacy work and dive deeper into intersex lived experiences, human rights, and the ongoing fight for bodily autonomy. This free event is proudly sponsored by the UVM Health Network (UVM Medical Center DEI Team and Home Health & Hospice) and Main Street Landing. Watch the film
