The Great Pyramid Construction Logistics

The origin of some of the materials used in the construction of the Great Pyramid, particularly the limestone casing stones and the granite blocks used in the king's chamber involves transporting them from quarries over 800 kilometers away. The largest granite stones in the pyramid found in the king's chamber weigh 25 to 80 tons. More than 2,300,000 limestone and granite blocks were pushed, pulled and dragged into place on the Great Pyramid. The average weight of a block is about 2.5 tons. The logistics of such an endeavor with the technology available at the time, are not fully understood. @WaterWiseDefenders
