Prambanan, Yogyakarta🇮🇩 Wonders of the World in Indonesia (4K HDR)

📍Candi Prambanan Candi Prambanan, located in Central Java, about 18 kilometers away from Yogyakarta, is the largest Hindu building in Indonesia, with 240 temples in the compound. Prambanan was built around 850 AD. It was probably built by the Mataram Kingdom or the Samboja kingdom. Soon after its construction, Prambanan was abandoned and began to fall into disrepair. Reconstruction began in 1918 and was completed around 1953 when the main building was rebuilt. Much of the building's original stonework has been stolen from time to time. In accordance with the principle of restitution, 75% of the original materials had to be guaranteed for reconstruction, so most of the small temples in Prambanan were left with foundations and dangerous walls and were not included in the reconstruction program. Today Prambanan is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest Hindu temple in Southeast Asia. It is unique in its soaring spires, typical of Hindu architecture, and its 47-meter-high centerpiece. Prambanan consists of 8 main temples and 250 isolated temples. Three of the main temples are dedicated to the three main Hindu gods: Shiva, Wisnu and Brahma. 📍Candi Plaosan Candi Plaosan is located in central Java, about 19 kilometers northeast of Yogyakarta and 3 kilometers away from Prambanan Temple. Built in the middle of the 9th century, Plaosan Lor has two main Buddhist temples, the one on the left, known as the North Main Temple, is sculpted with reliefs of women, while the one on the right, known as the South Main Temple, is sculpted with reliefs of men, and each of them is dedicated to six stone statues of Bodhisattvas. The area surrounding the two main temples used to have 116 stupas and 50 small temples, but nowadays there are only piles of stones. 📍Candi Kalasan Candi Kalasan, built in the 8th century, is the oldest surviving Buddhist temple in Central Java and Yogyakarta, with an impressive design. The polygonal building is built on a rectangular foundation, with many different statues and carvings in the rooms and halls. As you walk around the temple, you can't help but imagine what it must have been like a thousand years ago. The octagonal roof is carved with statues and reliefs of the Buddha. 📍Candi Sambisari Candi Sambisari is a Hindu temple built in the 9th century and buried about five meters below the ground, this temple worships Lord Shiva! 🎉Follow 💫DuckTravel ✨ YouTube: @DuckTravel Instagram: 💥ℹ️Turn ON the Closed Captions (CC) for info about Attractions ! 📷 Shooting Date 2023/07/26 🗺️Interactive map 🎬Timestamp 00:00 Candi Plaosan [Open CC - Turn on subtitles] 15:23 Candi Prambanan [Open CC - Turn on subtitles] 29:56 Around Candi Prambanan 32:07 Candi Kalasan [Open CC - Turn on subtitles] 37:42 Candi Sambisari [Open CC - Turn on subtitles] Thank you for watching!
