What will win?👀🔥 Make sure to always know your rope, its specs and its limits. ⚠️👇🏼 The rope used in this video is made of polyester, a synthetic fiber that doesn’t absorb much water, and its strength is not impacted by being wet. The wet rope broke higher than the dry, because the water kept it cooler. As it tightened, the cooler temperature prevented the knots from building as much heat from the friction of the knot. Polyester melts at around 490 degrees fahrenheit and starts to lose strength at about 50% of that. Even though the wet knot is allowed to get tighter,  it maintains more strength since it is stays cooler. 🥶 Water pouring credit - @ian_tellez20 Follow us for more rope content like this! 🔥 These videos and animations are for informational and entertainment purposes only, and should not be considered to be correct or reliable instructions.
