Rutply 1 Feb 2021. ’At least four people have been killed and over 20 wounded in a car bombing in the northern Syrian city of Azaz on Sunday. Three of the slain people were civilians, according to local reports. The city is currently under control of Turkish-led military forces. Survivors looking around the streets in the aftermath of the blast could be seen. This is the second car bombing in northern Syria this weekend. The Turkish Ministry of National Defence blamed the People’s Protection Units (YPG) and Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) of being behind both bombings, via Twitter. At least eight were killed in the Afrin attack on Saturday, including four children and 27 people injured, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. The YPG is accepted as an extension of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and designated as a terrorist organisation by Turkey and the EU.’
