Gallery talk of the exhibition, Introduction to Archives XXII “A Story of Smallpox: Detached from the Life you were born with...“, is now available! This exhibition focuses on the monumental butoh work, “Hosotan (A Story of Smallpox)“ in Twenty-seven Nights for four Seasons which was performed by Tatsumi Hijikata, a important Butoh dancer, in 1972. Rosa van Hensbergen, a visiting researcher of Keio University Art Center, explains the highlights of this exhibition and in which she picks out her favorite work.
