Time (solo) - Pink Floyd // Amy Turk (+ David Stanton & Julia K)

Delving further into bends and vibrato on the @harp_e_harp with help from @DaveStantonator and @JuliaKMusic ----------------------------------------------------------------------- I thought I would push the Harp-E further this time by tackling a guitar solo that relies more on expressive bends and vibrato, and David Gilmour's solo from Time seemed like an ideal challenge. I had to detune the harp into A flat major to make this one work, and figure out some creative solutions that allowed me to access the kinds of vibrato I was looking for at different times - some notes demanded bending the metal plate above the levers, whilst some were better with a bit of lever wiggling. In both instances I learned that too much would ruin the effect, but too little wouldn't make enough of a difference to the sound to be audible. It's been quite a learning curve and wonderful to really start to unlock this form of expression on the harp. It was great to push the tone of the Harp-E more into distortion territory with help from Dave, to try to match Gilmour's iconic sound. Julia, Dave and Lucy also provided some wonderful backing vocals to add an extra layer of authenticity. Thanks guys. Thanks again to Harp-E for the opportunity to explore these new ways of playing!
