Bassist Jonas Reingold played as session jazz and rock musician and with some Scandinavian bands as well, most recently - as member of The Flower Kings and Karmakanic. One day in summer 2008 they both tried to play some tunes in jazz-fusion key, and whenever the result was more than attractive to them, new band was born. They completed new project’s team with strong prog and jazz musicians: Zoltan Csorsz is Hungarian-Swedish drummer, played with many Scandinavian jazz musicians (incl. Jonas Hellborg) and was a member of Stolt’s founded band The Flower Kings. Keyboardist Lalle Larsson played as session jazz and rock musicians, as well as with some progressive and metal bands, incl. Karmakanic. US drummer Dave Weckl is respectable jazz and fusion musician ( played with Brecker Brothers, as member of Chick Corea Elektric and Akoustic Bands, beside many others).Ayi Solomon is Ghana-born and Denmark-based reggae and afro-beat percussionist. Karl-Martin Almquist is Swedish jazz sax player, have released some solo recordings. Debut album was recorded in 2009. “The intention of this new combo was to explore a more rootsy and with a bit of grit fusion with a groove, we hope for a funkier, more electric, like a bastard son of Band Of Gypsies and early Weather Report or Headhunters afrofunk & fusion. .....and we’re hoping to bring it to you LIVE in a not so distant future Ready to groove ?“ Roine Stolt & Jonas Reingold August 2009 Slava (Snobb)
