Sleeper Train from Bangkok to Chumphon

The Overnight Train is the best way to get from Bangkok to Koh Tao. We travelled first class because this was our first time travelling by train in Thailand. The couple of extra euros it cost was worth it for the extra comfort and privacy we got! If you liked this video, let me know and like/subscribe! If you have any questions about our experience or the sleeper train in general, don't hesitate to drop a comment :-) We took train 85, the daily sleeper to Surat Thani leaving Bangkok's Hua Lamphong Station at 19:30. We paid about 30 EUR for the train each, plus about 15 our for the bus and ferry. We made a single booking through to keep things simple. Normally it's a 8h45 ride. We were delayed by more than an hour, we could not figure out why but apparently this is very normal. Fortunately enough we had more than 2 hours leeway at Chumphon — we were scheduled to arrive around 4 AM and the bus to the ferry was supposed to leave around 6 AM. Typicall
