A creative idea to make a crochet box with leftover yarn and plastic bottles. Do you throw away empty plastic bottles or containers? I have a good idea for you to recycle them. We can use empty plastic bottles to make sturdy crochet boxes, coasters, baskets or even rugs. In this tutorial I use an empty bleach bottle. All you need to do is to cut the bottle into long and thin stripes using scissors. Don't worry about it because the plastic is soft and cutting it will be much easier than you think. I added too detailed videos to show you how to crochet the box and hide the plastic cord into the crochet stitches. I hope they will help you. If we don't use plastic stripes our crochet box would be too soft and can't stand up. Therefore we would have to stiffen it with starch, glue or other stiffeners to make it ticker to stand up. But using our recycled plastic cord makes the crochet box very sturdy and thick. It will stand up easily. You can put heavy objects inside it
