Flo & Eddie - Rock Steady with Flo & Eddie (epiphany - ELP 4010) 1981 Full Album

Rock Steady with Flo & Eddie (1981, Epiphany Records) is a collection of rocksteady & reggae songs recorded with a band of legit reggae players at Bob Marley's Tuff Gong Studios in Kingston, Jamaica, linking roots session players like Santa, Family Man Barrett and Ras Augustus Pablo with former Turtles front men Mark “Flo“ Volman and Howard “Eddie“ Kaylan. Produced by Chinna Smith, the mix resulted in “Rock Steady with Flo and Eddie,“ a bubbling stew of true Jamaican oldies - Stewart's “Sitting In the Park“ meets Stranger Cole and Gladdy's “Just Like A River“ and includes a remake of the 1967 Turtles hit “Happy Together“. The album was also briefly re-released by Rhino in 1987 under the title “Prince Flo & Jah Edward I“ SPIN Magazine calls it “one of the most impressive American reggae albums ever.“ A1 Prisoner Of Love 0:00 A2 Swing And Dine 3:55 A3 Stop 7:13 A4 Moving Away 9:59 A5 Pearl 13:15 A6 Dancing Mood 16:39 B1 Party Time 19:47 B2 Sitting In The Park 23:39 B3 Rock With Me 27:26 B4 Those Guys 30:21 B5 Just Like A River 33:34 B6 Happy Together 36:43 The players: Mark Volman & Howard Kaylan (Flo & Eddie) - vocals Earl “Chinna“ Smith - guitar Aston “Family Man“ Barrett - bass guitar Carlton “Santa“ Davis - drums Uziah “Sticky“ Thompson - percussion Augustus Pablo, Leslie “Professor“ Butler - piano, organ Phil Ramocon - Fender Rhodes Albert Wing, Dean Fraser, Enroy “Tenor“ Grant - saxophone Walt Fowler - trombone Hey, please do me a favor and subscribe to my channel: This channel is not monetized.
