Wayne Newton - Spanish Eyes Then Shirley Jones & Jack Cassidy - I’ll See You Again

In 1974 I was asked to serve as entertainment chairman for and produce “An Evening With The Andrus's“, a major campaign event held at The Rodeway Inn in Boise for the reelection of Governor Cecil Andrus of Idaho. The date was March 16, 1974. Headlining our show that night was Wayne Newton, along with stars of stage, screen and television Shirley Jones and Jack Cassidy. Step-son David was not available. There was an overflow crowd and we ended up seating some audience in the hallway. Newton's arranger, who is at the piano in this video, and a few key musicians had flown in earlier in the day and I arranged with Louie Ventrella of our local musicians union to provide other players to make up a complete orchestra.
