The Future of Work

About the Speaker: Dr. Raymond Robertson is the Director of the Mosbacher Institute for Trade, Economics, and Public Policy and the Helen and Roy Ryu Professor of Economics and Government at the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University. His research focuses on the union of international, labor, and development economics. He has published in the American Economic Review, the Review of Economics and Statistics, the Journal of International Economics, Review of International Economics, the Journal of Development Economics, and others. He served on the advisory board at the Center for Global Development, was a member of the US State Department’s Advisory Committee on International Economic Policy (ACIEP), and the chair of the US Department of Labor’s National Advisory Committee on Labor Provisions of Free Trade Agreement (NAC). He received his Ph.D. from the University of Texas after spending a year in Mexico as a Fulbright Scholar.
