Darwin Award news: The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating a shooting and robbery that left two teens injured at a street takeover. According to an LAPD spokesperson, officers responded to the scene of a multi-victim shooting near 54th Street and Western Avenue in the Vermont Square neighborhood around 12:30 a.m. Saturday.  Simultaneously, other officers were dispatched to a local hospital on reports of gunshot wound victims, the spokesperson stated.
