China Launches Youngest- Ever Space Crew China’s Shenzhou 17 spacecraft successfully launched into space at 11:14 am Beijing time from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center with three astronauts on board who will spend a six-month mission at the orbital station. The crew are now China’s youngest-ever to head into space, with leader Tang Hongbo (48) having crewed China’s first mission to Beijing’s station in 2021 joined by Tang Shengjie, 33, and Jiang Xinlin, 35 - the latter two on their first journey into space.
