Dramatic & Cinematic Top Down Lighting Setup Tutorial (Litepanels Gemini, Astra 6X, & Lykos)
In this video I show you how to create a dramatic and cinematic look using traditional top down lighting with some extra flare.
Lighting your subject from overhead is a simple and classic way to create drama and is used a lot to imply an oppressive or mysterious feeling.
I'm using the Litepanels Gemini 1x1, Astra 6X, and Lykos+ panel lights, but you can recreate this look using COB lights or other panels at a lower budget.
One of my favorite things about this setup is how flexible it is, since you can use anything from a single, bare light to a complete multi-light setup with external diffusion panels.
