Forced to take ruthless action, the government develops an experimental and highly controversial interrogation tactic: a drug that induces the suspect into a dream-like state of psychosis, forcing them to face the guilt of their actions to the point of confession. Cora Dalton is questioned for the untimely death of her roommate, Beth Barnes. Cora is persistent in the fact that she does not know what happened, but Detective Hammond is determined to get the truth. He slips her the experimental drug. Now plunged into psychosis, Cora finds herself in a therapy session where she is pressured into talking about what really happened and the events that led up to Beth's death. She states that Beth stole her love interest. Fueled by pure jealousy, Cora confesses that she spiked Beth's wine with peanut oil and stole her EpiPen. While she confesses to the therapist in her mind, she confesses to Detective Hammond in the real world. Cora is charged with murder and sentenced to life in the memory loop chamber where she is forced to relive what she has done until she dies. “Dreamcatcher“ Credits: CAST: Cora Dalton - Christa Lain Detective Hammond - Lucas Ross The Therapist - Carol Anderson Beth Barnes - Kylie Ward The Love Interest - Danny Barracca Dr. Adler - Josh Sanders Crew: Written, Directed, and Produced by Chris Phelps Co-Produced by Olivia Jones and Mason Katter 1st AD - Olivia Jones Director of Photography, Camera Operator - Chris Phelps 2nd Camera Operator - Joel Pletcher Production Sound Mixer - Nick O'Neil Boom Operator - Elijah Preston Grip/Gaffer - Mau Vasquez Wardrobe - Emalee Crouse, Carmen Clemente Makeup - Emalee Crouse Editor - Chris Phelps Sound Designer/Mixer - Chris Phelps Visual Effects Artist - Chris Phelps Colorist - Eleazar Wilson “Catch My Dreams“ Written, Performed, and Produced by Chris Phelps Subscribe to the DUST and ALTER newsletter: Subscribe to DUST on YouTube: #DUST #scifi #shortfilm About DUST: DUST presents thought-provoking science fiction content, exploring the future of humanity through the lens of science and technology.
