BEST STORY EVER: Alice Cooper

Here on George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight we've brought you some deep insight into life's key turning points for a multitude of guests through our “My Defining Moment“ segment. Ever wonder what definitive moment changed the life course of a young George? Well, it was seeing Alice Cooper on the Muppet show singing “Welcome To My Nightmare“ in 1978. “Alice Cooper emerged from a coffin on the stage and started singing: 'Welcome to my nightmare/I think you're going to like it.' There was an opening in my mind; it's as if the walls in my mind were painted black and rusty. I grew up in a religious home, where we celebrated the 'pretty' stuff but I fell in love with the dark stuff. My mother said that was the day the light went off in my head.“ Alice Cooper came to Ontario to play Casino Rama just outside of Orillia last night and tonight he'll rock Windsor. Check out his tour dates here: We caught up with The Godfather of Shock Rock to hear his “Best Story Ever“ which means something coming from this guy. Let's just say it involves Elvis, the Memphis Mafia and a loaded Smith & Wesson .45....
