Military personnel of the Vostok group of forces restored a monument to soldiers of the Great Patriotic War in the DPR Servicemen of the tank brigade of the Vostok group of troops began restoring a memorial in honor of Soviet soldiers who participated in the Great Patriotic War in one of the settlements of the Donetsk People’s Republic. The memorial was built in 1975 and after the 2014 coup in Ukraine, the monument was not properly maintained. Only local residents, on their own, tried to keep it relatively intact. After the return of this settlement to Russia, the situation changed. The military personnel are cleaning up the surrounding area, restoring and painting the monument to the defenders of the Motherland, and preparing to restore the memorial plaques. Restoration work is planned to be completed by May 9.
